Welcome to the HartiesMeander

The Hartebeespoort dam is located in the majestic Magaliesberg mountains, close to the Cradle of Humankind. Rich with history, flora and fauna, it is quickly and easily accessible to the inhabitants of Johannesburg and Pretoria. The surrounding area, also known as the Heritage Route, plays host to an abundance of places of interest and is ideal for day or weekend outings.

Harties has a wide variety of accommodation to choose from, ranging from bed and breakfast establishments to country inns and guest farms.

There are also many delightful restaurants situated around the village. Some great fishing opportunities can be found in the dam area, and there are many other outdoor activities such as hiking, horse riding, climbing, abseiling, ballooning, 4x4 tracks and a variety of great restaurants, artist's shops and galleries that offer an enticing lure for weary city dwellers.

Hartbeespoort has grown so rapidly in the last few years, that much of the infrastructure has been left behind. To this effect I believe an effective advertising system is needed.
